Getting six pack abs is the burning ambition of millions of people on this planet.
They all want the confidence that comes from possessing a firm stomach that will turn heads on the beach – and in the bedroom! However, getting a six pack seems extremely difficult, judging by how few people seem to have one.
No doubt you’ve seen – or even tried – those abdominal exercisers advertised all over the place. Or maybe you’ve tried “miracle” fat-burning pills that promise to fire up your metabolism. Many try them, but soon quit when they don’t get satisfactory results – nothing like the images of the toned bodies in the advertising.
What they don’t realize is that the trim, muscular men and woman on the packages almost certainly didn’t get their six pack abs from the products they help to sell. It’s their regular diet and exercise that got them their great bodies – and they live a healthy lifestyle to stay that way.
Remember – doing endless ab specific exercises with those devices, or forcing yourself to do a hundred sit-ups and crunches a day still won’t give you the firm hard abs you want unless you change the way you eat and exercise. You might firm up your six pack, but nobody will see it if it’s still hiding under layers of fat.
Don’t just focus on the abdominal muscles, but the health and fitness level of your entire body. By living a healthy lifestyle that includes eating right and doing a variety of different exercises that work the entire body you can have the type of abs you see on those commercials.
So, forget the exercise contraptions and the so-called miracle pills that will cost you a small fortune without delivering the results you want. There are three easy secrets that will really get you a six pack of abs:
1. Healthy Diet – Eat good quality foods with plenty of vegetables, lean meats and fish and lots of fruit. You body runs best when it is given quality “fuel”.
2. Use Weight Training – I’m not talking about lifting massive weights! Even light weight training will help you develop your six pack AND other body muscles. More muscles means more calories being burned instead of turning to fat.
3. Aerobic Training – Aerobic or cardio exercise is a good way to burn excess calories and strengthen the entire cardiovascular system. You don’t have to run marathons, just get out and take a walk, go for a bike ride, or any other form of activity that you enjoy doing. Do it often!
Getting a six pack will take some time depending on the kind of shape you’re in and how much body fat you have. Be patient. Just remember the three secrets and put them into action.
You CAN do it – everyone can have six pack abs with determination!
