Men Health Issues: Not To Be Taken For Granted

By nature, men are the epitomes of strength, invincibility and dependability – these are the ideal components of masculinity. When it comes to men health issues, they tend to keep mum about this matter because for most of them, that would diminish their masculinity. They prefer to talk about their successes, achievements, wealth and power rather than their health problems.

Having a strong image, men are usually employed in more risky jobs; tend to live a more stressful life to keep up with their social status, and smoking and drinking are parts of their lifestyle. This is the reason why women are perceived to live longer than men. When it comes to health problems, men are oftentimes hesitant to consult doctors for treatments.

When hypertension, heart ailment, prostate cancer, kidney trouble, venereal diseases or erection problem caught up with them, that’s the only time they do something. Prior to that they don’t even like to talk about having health problems. They stood by their motto that if it’s not broken don’t fix it.

Among these illnesses, men would less talk about is erectile dysfunction, commonly known as impotence. People opt to avoid discussing this topic because it’s a highly sensitive issue for most men. That’s the reason why we seldom hear of erectile dysfunction cases. It is a widespread condition that affects a great number of adult males 40-70 years old globally. That’s something serious to talk about.

Impotence is the most common term for erectile dysfunction. It’s the inability of a man to achieve and keep an erection necessary for sexual contact. In most cases, older men suffer from this but it can also be a problem of younger generation. It’s a misconception that impotence is due to old age but it can also be caused by hypertension, high cholesterol level and diabetes that are related to aging.

Lifestyle can also be a big reason for impotence. Drinking alcohol excessively, habitual smoking and use of drugs can lead to erection problem. There are other factors that can bring about this condition like pelvic injury, surgery, pain, anxiety and depression.

Impotence can bring so much frustration to men’s sexual performance as well as to reproduction. This condition is not reversible but treatable and treatments include change of lifestyle by avoiding cigarettes, alcohol and drugs, finding and then stopping the use of medicines that may have caused the problem, taking prescription pills that can help attain erection. Doctors’ advice is needed before taking any of these pills and for surgery and other medical procedures. Another option is taking herbal supplement capsules that have all natural extracts, which gives immediate benefits of prescription pills plus long-term enhancement results.

Taking herbal supplements to correct erectile dysfunction could be a better alternative, but it should be under the care of qualified physician. There are some risks to consider if you choose the natural remedies. You tend to self medicate which is not good; only a doctor can competently diagnose the root cause of your impotence and how a herbal supplement will interact with other medicines.

Health problems should be every guy’s top priority. If you open up about your health condition, it won’t make you a lesser man, instead your family and the people who you love will surely appreciate that you made them aware. In one way or another, they can provide you with moral support and encouragement to face your problem and help you go through it.

Masculinity would be nothing if you were being consumed by an illness. Men health issues should be taken seriously especially when the issue is impotence. Why keep quiet about it, when there are remedies for you that can correct this condition and experts who can help you take the proper approach?
