Hemorrhoids Home Treatment – Simple Home Treatments for Hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids is a very common problem today, in fact according to a research, almost 45 percent of entire population will get hemorrhoids before they reach 50. In order for us to truly understand how to treat the condition, let us first learn what hemorrhoids are, how it starts, and finally what hemorrhoids home treatments we can use.
Hemorrhoids are swollen veins in the anal canal, there are two types of hemorrhoids, and they are internal and external hemorrhoids. If the swelling is inside the anal cavity then it is internal, if the swelling is just in the opening of the anus then it is external. Hemorrhoids can be caused by different things, but the most common of them are overstraining your self during bowel movements, obesity, diarrhea and pregnancy. The most common symptoms of the condition are bleeding during bowel movement, itching and rectal pain. The condition is so painful that it can even lead to depression.
Hemorrhoids is really a serious condition, but luckily it can still be cured. If you have neglected your condition and your hemorrhoids are really bad, then you have to get them removed surgically. But be aware the surgery for hemorrhoids are really painful. Another way you can get rid of it is by using natural methods. Below are just some of the home treatments I personally used for my hemorrhoids.
Aloe Vera – aloe vera has been used since ancient times because of its antibacterial properties. You can use aloe vera directly to the infected area; it will relieve you of the itching and the pain caused by the swelling.
Alum – You can dissolve 1 teaspoon of powdered alum in water then you can apply it directly to the infected area
Horse Chestnut – is one of the most popular natural remedy for hemorrhoids, it promotes blood flow, growth of connective tissues and decreases swelling. However, please do not use horse chestnut if you have kidney or liver problems. Please do not also use it if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
Eat High Fiber – try to include high fiber foods like whole grains, vegetables, fruits, nuts in your meals. Fiber helps our bowel movement so you don’t exert too much force during bowel movement.
Hemorrhoids are a serious problem. If you will just ignore it about it, it will just get worse and worse until it will take over your life.
